The wood grips looked better than I thought, but I put the black ones on because I can beat them up and not have to worry about anything. They grip a little better too I find.

I'm going away for work in the US till september, so I'll have to wait till then to use it . I still have to wait on the LTATT, and I leave in a week.

i guess i'll be the one that prefers the stock grips. having never handled wood grips i can only go by looks, and i just don't like wood on a sig, that's just me. nice gun, i'm hoping in a couple of months i can make a 226 my first gun too

Why not get a form 6NIA approved and take it with you to the states? You can shoot it all you want down there

I recently got my 226 (first gun) and shot better with it out-of-the-box than any of the range guns I've ever tried in my 6 months of shooting.

I also have a 226, the best thing I got was hogue grips, made a world of difference, that is my straightest shooter now by far!!!

Yup shoot straight, and be reliable. The sig is my first pistol, after much reasurch i finally went for it. Mine didn't come friday, so i am waiting until monday. My range is closed this weekend for the IPSC qualifyer anyways. At least i have a good week to dry fire the hell out of it to get it ready for the 10th maybe i will go to TSE to get the itch out.

Probably. The paperwork will take a bit, UNLESS they do it fast because IIRC you are a dual citizen with a state drivers license.

You can get get temp ATT's to and from the border over the phone and faxed in 10 minutes, usually.
