After barrel break-in as per the manual, I attached my cheap * scope and put some of my cheap ** reloads down range.

1. There are a few more rattles than my budget TNA AR15 build (= my "reference"), which of course I haven't fired for many moons. These rattles don't appear to affect accuracy.
2. The trigger was a a beast at 9 lbs. My reference trigger also breaks at 9 lb, but the WK180C trigger travel is much rougher, feels like 3 or even 4 "stages"! ;)
3. I can't say I like the grip/trigger ergonomics, but that goes for my reference gun as well. I know there are after-market grips etc. that can help. Also I notice that the mag release button feels a bit farther away than it is on my reference gun, or else my finger has shrunk...
4. I like to think I have enough experience to know how to squeeze off precision shots, but with the (for me) unusually heavy trigger and the grip rake angle it's a challenge. I was able to get a couple of 5-shot groups inside 1.6" at 100m after a dozen warm up shots.
5. My principal anticipated use for this rifle is for distances under 100m, so I am satisfied with this level of accuracy. I'll probably look into smoothing out the trigger, though.

* = $50 BSA 4x30
** = 55gr CamPro FMJ over 25gr H4895 in multi-fired no-name (Norinco?) brass. Yes I know...

You may want to try SBI's WK180 pistol grip, which has a grip angle similar to that of the original AR180. -> https://spectreballistics.com/wk180c/88-wk180c-grip.html

If you have the screw in charging handle, you may want to get SBI's strengthened charging handle -> https://spectreballistics.com/wk180c/79-37-wk180-c-enhanced-charging-handle.html#/51-wk180c_charging_handle_color-black or enlarged and strengthened XL Handle -> https://spectreballistics.com/wk180c/101-wk180-c-xl-enhanced-charging-handle.html .

Mine has the rattle too (tinny rattle), though based on performance, I have seemed to have relegated that to an "unknown feature".

Great rifle overall.

Some people take the shimmy between the upper and lower receiver using a rubber O-Ring. A forum search can probably get the correct dimensions.

Has anyone attempted to change out the hand guard? I was looking for a more AR15 style hand guard, I heard they were compatible with AR accessories.

The handguard has to have enough overhead clearance for the gas piston system.

True North Arms has both a Kodiak 18" WK specific handguard -> https://truenortharms.com/ar15_default_store_view/wk180-c-factory-handguard-18-length-direct-fit.html and a Super M-LOK handguard not listed as WK compatible and used by forum members in the past in various lengths -> https://truenortharms.com/ar15_default_store_view/super-m-lok-handguard-easy-install.html

Before venturing forth to the range I did a complete take-down, during which I checked if one of my TNA MLOK handguards (same as listed in previous post) would fit: it has the vertical clearance for the gas system, but it won't fit over the WK barrel nut. If I changed barrel nut it would work, but for now I am happy to leave the original handguard on.

Thanks for the info about the barrel nut; it had probably been mentioned before, but I forgot. The Kodiak factory 18" would not likely need a nut change, but is much more expensive. Up to you if later using a different but is worth the trouble :)
