Hi all,
I just received a first pattern Inglis holster, like the following:
I'm unable to insert my spare magazine in the holster, and I'm wondering if the metal insert may have gotten bent, or if it's supposed to be a spring-tight fit to prevent rattling. Should the insert opening form a rectangle or a trapezoid with the wide end on the rivet side?
Here's a picture of my magazine insert:
Before I start trying to bend it into shape, or scratch up my magazine, I wanted to double-check as I've not handled this type of holster before.
I was also aware that the pistol would be very tight in the holster, but I wasn't expecting to have to push, pull, and stretch so much to get the quick release closed. Is there any advice on loosening up the holster (e.g. stretching the canvas while it's damp), or will that eventually happen over time - or never?
It's definitely looking like the second pattern, double-flap holster, is the way to go! Are those hard to come by these days and what's the typical going rate in Canada?
Thanks!
