Well, finally after 20+ years of having my restricted license, I purchased my first pistol.
Didn't have to do a lot of research on it, got enough opinions on here, thanks to those who contributed.
Picked up a Sig Sauer Tacops in 45 ACP. Can't wait to hold it, took some time this evening to go to Cabelas in Barrie to hold it in my hand before committing to it, and it sure felt nice and solid.
Hopefully the range membership goes forward next week, so I can enjoy something new, and contribute what I can to the club.

Aaron

Edit: Now while I have your attention, can anyone recommend good dies and powder to go with it?

Which tacops? The p226 or 1911 one?

As for dies, i personally like the hornady titanium nitrite ones, last forever, lifetime warranty. Powder, anything you can get, winchester 231, cfe pistol, longshot, titegroup, wsf.

Ive been using the Hogdon Longshot powder, with Lee dies on my 45, I have never had any trouble yet with this setup.

Got the Tacops 1911, forgot to specify. Thanks for all the info, gotta find powder and components now.
