Woohoo!!! so i finally got my first pistol, picked it up today from williams arms.... Ruger Mrk III target.

i figure about a month to finish off the club safety course and the qualification shoots then a month or two for the ATT is what the club guys said because apparently they redo your background checks on your first ATT

There is CDN gun control in a nutshell. They check us up the ass to issue the licence and then recheck you up the ass all over again before letting you shoot the thing. As though the first reaming wasn't good enough.

Of course gan bangers and bank robbers don't have to submit to any checks before they buy a gun.

What I found to be more of a pain in the ass is that even though I had the ATT in hand it took 4 more weeks of waiting before I actually had the certs in hand so I could go out shooting.

I had my registration 2 or 3 days before my ATT. Apparently I got lucky I guess!
