Shooting my GAP Gladius rifle with 18" Bartlein Barrel to 1000 yards.

For the non believers.

Sweet rig I can't wait to get my coyote in 260 rem. It's been ordered, now I just have to wait patiently. I think I will go back to a night force with the zero stop. They really are the best bang four your buck in my opinion.

Thanks guys, I have been thinking of a NF 5.5-22x50 with Mil Dot recticle, zero stop, tac turrets etc etc but have been talking to Jerry at Mystic Precision and he has mentioned Sightron. I really would like to take a look through one before I order. Anyone at EESA have one I could take a peek through by any chance? Im still un decided at this point.

The rifle is heavy. Stock is all metal. I will get measurements up soon for you guys.

This will not be the new Ranger rifle...someone asked.

Ross and I talked about the 18in barrel at 800-1000. I dont think the rifle is going to hold me back honestly.

One beautiful rifle, best bang for the buck and performance too.
I am sure is way better price then the other custom want to be!

If you're set on a NXS then consider the 56mm objective. According to P&D's website there is no difference in price. Just something for you to think about.

I have looked through 3 Sightrons....all three of them had really nice glass. Not sure how repeatable they are but I'm sure if you ask around here someone can answer that for you.

With a rifle like that it would be a shame to put anything less than a Nightforce scope on it, I've got a few Sightrons and they're not in the same league. The 50mm would look great considering the compact nature of your gun.

Damn. That must be a heavy...

I'd put a NF F1 on it. As a previous person mentioned- Keep it compact.

I bought a Sightron from Jerry. Good price and great service. I upgraded it to a Nightforce though. Sightron's have great glass and are repeatable, but all in all they're range scopes. NF offers a lot more when you start considering features and durability. I would not trade my NXS for anything.

Come out shooting tommorow at EESA, I will be there with DG, we are taking out the LRT-3's to make some noise. You will be able to see a Premier, NF & S&B.

I'd go with the Premier..... come tomorrow and see for yourself.

I'm packing the T-Wolf just for you. I shoulf be there arround 9am.

Hey Matt, you rock!!! Thats awesome, much appriciated. Im not going to be able to make it out tommorow as I have some family commitments. Hopefully we can work out another day soon.

Your T-Wolf I shot, that was a Premier correct?

The T-Wolf is a S&B PMII P4 Fine, and the LRT-3 is a Premier 5-25, I love the retical!

Its hard to say what scope i like best, I think if you put all the ah and drool about the S&B aside the Premier is on top.

I'm sending you a PM

Matt

+1
I love the Premier and it's supposed to be better than S&B.

Nice rifle BTW. Looks like I've been too slow answering Ross email...

Well? did you have a change to check out the Premier comparing to the S&B, I am looking at getting another one, if Premier is that good, then I know what to get.

The guys down at Rifles Only swear by the S+B.They say out of the thousands of scopes they get through their doors every year the S+B's have far less issues with breaking down. And the glass is pretty sweet to boot!

Well I decided... Im going with a Nightforce NXS 5.5-22x50 with the NPR1 recticle. Now to find a retailer that has one.

Medium scope rings I think would work the best? Im not 100% sure. Any ideas?
