I recently purchased a NOS Norinco M93 Colt woodsman clone from Questar. I brought it to the range tonight and didn't know what to expect. I actually like this thing. It seems quite accurate, though I only tried it up to 15m.
The gun is ergonomically strange with the slide lock on the right side and the mag release on the bottom. I shot 100 Winchester Wildcat cheapos and 100 CCI Mini Mags. I had 1 FTE with the CCI and 1 with the Winchester ammo.
Not bad. The only thing was the safety engaged twice during shooting and required only a very slight nudge to continue. All in all, this is a fun little gun.

I ordered my Norinco M93 on May 2 from Questar and received it on May 6/2016. It took only 4 days for a transfer from Ontario CFO. I guess, it’s a very good efficiency. Your post somehow reassures me that I made a good choice. After unpacking and a thorough cleaning inside/out with Ballistol the pistol looks very nice. Bluing is, indeed, very good. Nearly impeccable if not for a minor discoloration at the top of the slide. Hope, it will disappear after a few cleanings.
Otherwise, no complaints. The pistol is all steel with obviously plastic/bakelite grips. Mechanically, all parts move easily. The quality of machining is surprisingly good. No machining marks visible, the parts are smooth except the rear sight that has some sharp edges. I measured the trigger pull weight and it falls between 4.4 and 5.6 lbs. Feels very crisp though. The rear sight is adjustable for windage only. The small set windage screw has a tendency to become lose so one must be careful during shooting and check it occasionally. I have large hands (L glove size) so the grip is a bit short for me but still I can hold the pistol and aim quite comfortably.
Now waiting for the registration papers to get to the range. Hopefully mine shoots even better than yours!
