Just wanted to say thanks for everyones input and help (Henry @ Budget, Peter @ Hirsch, John @ JD's) on starting to reload. I will be putting my first rounds together this week. Using Lapua brass and bullets, CCI primers and Vihtavuori N150 powder. I will be doing some different powder charges for load development for my 308 10 FCP. Hope all goes well and I will share what I decide to use with you all.

OK guys quick update, made up some rounds with virgin Lapua brass and 167 scenars with Vit. powder N150, made 4 rounds starting at the lowest charge to highest charge in .5 gr increases, found a great node (.23 vertical rise) at 42.8 gr so made up 8 more rounds starting at 42.2 up to 43.4 in .2 gr increases in the now once fired brass hopefully one of these will be the one for my gun. Also did up some winchester twice fired brass witht the same bullet, powder and charges, found that the winchester was a little bit fussy and not giving me a real good node (tightest .76 vertical), found one ok one with 44.2 gr, so made up some more last night from 43.9 to 44.6 so heres hoping one of these will be the baby. heading to the range Sat morning to do what I hope to be final load development. All shots fire in 4 round strings at 200 meters, winds 30 -40 km, equal cooling time between strings (1 cup of coffee, 1 smoke, walk down to target and back LOL ).
As newbie to reloading I am learning a lot these days as far as different charges for sure, thanks again to all that have help and shared their advice and experiences.

Have fun and play safe!

I always find a coffee, smoke and brisk walk in between groups helps with the vertical stringing!

So guys 44.2 gr of N150 was the sweet load for my savage 10fcp 308 shot under.5 inch at 200 meter which is all I can expect from this rifle as factory.
Moving onto my Barnard 07 build I did with Peter Dobson from Hirsch precision and WOW let me say what a difference, it took half as many rounds to find the sweet spot in this rifle and I just settled on 42 gr of N140 pushing 155 scenars at 2760 fps. The last group I got with this load was .257" at 200 meters, what a tack driver!!! Thanks again Peter
