Hi There,

Just got my first restricted; bought from a retailer online and shipped to my house. So I understand I need to wait for the registration certificate in the mail to arrive. Is there anything else I need to do as far as legal hoops for registration? If the retailer did the transfer (which I assume they did, since they shipped it to me) and (once) I receive the certificate, is there anything else I need to do/mail/call ?

Thanks!

There are threads on this topic, looks like you answered your own question... once purchased, recived, and registerd you will need an ATT otherwise you wont be able to bring it to a club to shoot. Once you receive your ATT your good to go.

I guess what I meant is, once I have the firearm (which I do), and the certificate (which I assume will be arriving any day now), do I need to do anything else as far as registration goes. I recognize the ATT portion for transport, I am here just referring to plain old ownership requirements to be legal.

Nope, once the store sold it to you you met the legal requirements and they probably registered it to your name already at the RCMP. Like ESP said all you need now is your long term ATT to go have fun. Right now you're in "fondle" time LOL

Everything that needs to be done has been. You just need your club membership and some ammo. Best have a carrying case too.
Getting the actual ownership card can take a while.
