My wife's looks like the one Jay posted except a stainless version. First gun I ever bought the wife and she loves it. Has 7 of her own now.

Yup, I'm of the belief that if you can make it appeal to them, DO IT!!! Here is my wife with her AR, she says the black ones are boring! And, this is the picture she showed the Prime Minister at Parliament when we were invited to witness the 3rd vote on Bill C-19 to get rid of the LGR! HE HE

I know you're looking for bolt action suggestions, but this is a pretty nice setup. Who doesn't like the 10/22?

Savage axis in muddy girl camo.. Comes in youth stock and multiple calibers.. Got my wife a youth axis in 243 for her birthday, put a vortex scope on it, lightened the trigger and it fits her great, she's 5'3 100lbs

I think this would be a great place to start if she wants a centerfire gun that isn't going to throw her off with a lot of recoil. The Winchester 100 gn SP factory loads shoot under 3/4' groups in 3 guns I have had or shot. Highly recommend.
