Hey there everyone!

Just received my PAL and RPAL the other day and ran out and bought myself a Chinese SKS at my local store.

I trusted everyone on here and I absolutely cannot wait to shoot it.

I'm really really excited. Heading out to the farm this weekend with a couple hundred rounds and a good friend.

I know I'm jumping the gun.....pun intended but I just want to thank all you lovely people for the reccomendation.

First I thought WTF!?...but if I give it a closer look,you might be right...The civic is not special,a whole lot more reliable than comparable american brand competitors and costs half the price...and yeah,its ugly too.

So,if no one mentiones the car,the conversation could as well been about SKS...I only have the russians,but I like them all.
Don't have a Civic,tho...only two jeep wranglers (old) and a rusty crown vic.

You made a great choice for a 1st rifle. I have two. One is very pretty so I rarely shoot it. The other is a 1951 Tula w/ a Tapco T6 stock. I have put about 800-900 rounds thru it, and it has NEVER failed in any way. How many guns can you say that about? These things are monsters. My zombie-apocalypse gun for sure.
 
Just finished cleaning my Type 56. Ugly as hell compared to the 19 Russian SKS I have, but shoots just as well and runs like a Timex. Enjoy it, they are super fun rifles!

Yeah, they're not as snazzy as the Russian ones for sure, but they shoot the same. Sometimes better.

Also, 20 SKS's!? I see you've put my collection of four to shame, good sir! Maybe one day I'll catch up. Of course by then, you'll likely have 40. :D

When the zombies are beating on the door are ya really gonna worry about this whole 5 round thing...Be a different set of rules when SHTF my friend .One case of surplus a month...get it while ya can cos its gonna be worth way more than gold eventually

Mine is ugly for a Type 56 - even though it was new, the stock is awful and the machining is poor. And there is still dried cosmoline crusted on in places that I refuse to make the effor to remove. The sun will do it at the range, eventually!

Definately will be when it suddenly happens and I wind up with 10 of them
In front of me and can't find a stripper clip! Lol

Though I feel like that will become machete and shotgun time!!
