First rifle none other than an.......SKS!!

Zombie apocalypse gun for sure. As long as we can eventually get past this whole 5 round pin.

Ugh! Ya, the ridiculous 5-round issue! But it's nothing that a pair of pliers wouldn't cure during a zombie apocalypse...especially when you have half-arsed Russian welds to deal with.

BTW, the book "World War Z" is a quality, fun read. And will make you appreciate the bayonet of your SKS all the more.

Oh I've read that and and the survival guide cover to cover more times than I can remember.

That episode of sons of guns was pretty awesome too. I love that .22 bullpup that Chris made.

Congrats on your new SKS!
I love my chinese military just as much as my russian
seem to be built with the same quality and get similar accuracy

sooo much fun with a crate and a steel plate

at about 90 yds the middle ones were the first 3, the next 2 were after I noticed I didn't have plate angled right and the steel core were flying over my head :D
took a pic before I chewed it up pretty good

Saw the author of that book (Mel Brooke's kid) on an episode of Sons of Guns, where they competed to build the ultimate zombie gun. Fun episode.

Sons of Guns: how the hell was I unaware of this show?! Once again, CGN improves my life to the detriment of my wife's...

I didn't know the author was Mel Brook's son either. And as long as we're referencing popular media, I assume you have seen the part of Family Guy's 'Something, Something, Something Dark Side' with: "Hey Imperial fleet, get ready to suck some Dak!"...?

I <3 my SKS, only thing I don't like is that it's heavy... I put an ATI Dragunov style stock and a scope kit on it a few weeks ago, but I moved a couple days later and haven't had a chance to shoot it yet, but the balance is completely changed, and I dig it

Been tring to convince a stock manufactor that live's in Canada since he can make a 1 pound M14 stock I figure he can make almost the same for the SkS but he doesn't belive that there is a market for it.

SKS was my first rifle! aside from a williams firesight on the rear shes stock and will remain that way (however a drum mag from P&D is tempting, but i could buy a second sks for the price)
