First rifle possibility P14? Thoughts? EDIT: I BOUGHT MY FIRST RIFLE :D

I've had a couple of Model 30 rifles, one was a remington model 30 chambered for the 257 Roberts and another was rebarreled before it came to me for the 25-06

Both were marked Model 30 Express.

You may be correct about them using parts left over from the war time contracts, one of them still had the weight reduction hole on the receiver bridge and the other had it filled.

Great rifles

Have a look at youtube for a remastered film of M1917 production made in the spring of 1918. I searched using "Enfield rifle manufacture".
I could dig out my copy of Skennerton's The American Enfield to check production dates and numbers, but if I remember correctly, P'14 production ended in 1916. The scale of production was impressive. Eddystone alone was producing over a thousand a day.
Otteson has excellent information on these rifles, including the Models 30 and 720.

I have a nice Model 30 action. It is derived from the P14, but there is a lot which is different. I don't know what it is going to be. Something fitting. I have a bunch of 30 cal barrels, and it's hard to go wrong with a 30/06, I guess.
