I just purchased a Derya TM22 as my first rifle. I have some questions regarding attaching things to it, specifically a Vortex Crossfire ii - 4-12x24 scope, a bipod, and a grip. I know i need rings, but i'm unsure what rings i actually need for this. And If I would like to attach a Bipod and a grip, do i need anything specific? I did try some googling and it didn't bring me any answers, as i got confused around certain aspects like "Picatinny rails" and "M-Lok" adaptation, so I thought i'd try here. I apologize for asking for my hand to be held during this learning period. Any assistance would be appreciated. This would primarily be a range princess, typically 50yds with hopes of shooting up to 100yds, but I will also be bringing it out during hunting season for grouse (typically within about 20 yds). Is this scope too "big" for these applications?

CROSSFIRE® II 4-12X40 AO is a good size since it has AO you can focus on targets down to 10yards and out to 100. Without AO (or parallax) most scopes are set to focus at 100y

Rings Vortex HUNTER 1-INCH RINGS medium height will probably be ok for that scope depending on clearance of the bell end and the rifle. Bell end is the end of the scope that faces towards the target. Your store can help you with getting matching rings. 1inch is the size of tube that scope has. Rings generally come in 1 inch or 30mm, same as scopes. You match the ring size to the tube size of the scope you buy.

Just 'my thought' - You likely won't need a bipod except when you shoot from a bench at a range; and the 'taller' bipods like 12" and UP are better in that you don't need to 'scrunch down' on the bench. High bipod gives you a more relaxed position - I have a couple 'shorter ones' that Don't get used most of the time. They would be good if you're shooting Prone since you wouldn't want much height there. kbd's advice on getting scope rings etc is Good IF you don't have a friend who can advise you. Be Aware that there are 'dealers' and 'store persons' that may Not always sell what's Best for YOU; rather what's best for their $$-sales figures. Getting advice from a friend or someone at your range who is NOT going to profit is a better route.

For the Derya TM22, i would look at a 1 piece cantilever mount or high rings. The height over bore should be similar to a "scary black rifle" as there is no drop in comb with the factory stock.

Congrats on your first rifle Bunndo!
Thats a fun rifle, ok scopes seems to be covered for you, and I see you have questions regarding picatinny and m-lok so on your tm22 you have both and I will explain, the rail on top of the receiver where your scope will go is a picatinny rail so the rings or cantilever mount you choose need to be for pic rails, now the handguard has all those long cutouts ( like little rounded rectangles) on 4 sides (top bottom etc) those are your m-lok slots for attachments like a bipod or front grips. Now bipods come in a few attachment styles with sling stud, picatinny and m-lok being the common ones. Now if you find something you like that only comes in picatinny fitment you can get a section of picatinny rail that bolts to the m-lok slots in different lengths. I personally prefer to have less “middleman” attachments as possible so it is always better to use the correct fittings, having said that I do have a couple attachments where I needed the adapter, such is life. Hope that helps
p.s. the tm 22 can be finicky with ammo it will cycle , for mine it likes cci varmint and mini mag you may have to experiment a bit to find what yours likes.
Most of all have fun and enjoy it!
