First Rimfire Rifle

There are close to ten .22's in my safe and they are all fun. Nylon 66, Henry GB, TOZ 17, CZ 452 Lux, Remington Speedmaster and Fieldmaster, Marlin 39 couple of Cooey's. I have trouble narrowing it down to two or three to take to the range or plinking. Look at lots and choose the one you like. Don't worry if it doesn't end up being the perfect .22, once you buy the first, more are bound to follow. Have fun.

I would go with the CZ. It's worth the money for me. Always nice and well made, nice fit and finish. I've heald a few zastavas, even owned the full stocked center fire, none felt good to be honest. I might still pick up one in a 22 just to try, maybe. I'm not a fan of the open sights on the zastava either. They seem way taller then they need to be.

I am new to rimfire rifles and my choice was the CZ 452 Lux, it has great sights on it but my old eyes need some help. I added a Leupold VX-2 3-9 X 33mm Rimfire EFR scope.
I think the 452's have been discontinued in favour of the 455 models...don't know what the differences are but I am happy with the 452.

Is true re: discontinued but I think Wolverine may still have American version. IMHO 452 Lux nicer than 455 I've got the LH one like it very much and good value!

A 452 Lux would be a great choice if you can find one. For something a little special, a 455 Full Stock makes a nice first good quality. 22. If you can hold off buying more CZ's, the fs will surely be a keeper.

I like the CZ American model for more balanced shot if you stand and shoot more.
If you gonna have a brench or rest then I'd get the Varimant version.
Both models don't have the iron sights as the stock is designed to be used with a scope.
Since I'll be using a scope all the time I think works better then the Lux models...I think.

Currently in the market for 22LR bolt rifles as well. Really likethe CZ American feel and the bolt seems smoothest so far.
Just which model 452 or 455 can't decide yet. I like the 455 but alot of the 452 owners say the 452 is better crafted...

Found this, but I still can't decide which yet haha

I have a 452 lux .22lr. It's got a beautiful stock and deep bluing, Almost too nice to take hunting. I have only shot 10 rounds threw it off the back deck through the sights, They are nice and I typically don't like iron sights. I take my Henry H001 lever action hunting instead. Its a nice gun to carry threw the bush, accurate enough for bush chickens and rabbits.
