i just successfully reloaded my first round of 9mm ammunition!!!!!!!!!:dancingbanana::dancingbanana::dancingbanana:

i loaded a 124 gr fmj with 4.1 grains of hodgdon titegroup....all looks good i can hardly wait to fire it;)

thanks to everyone who helped answer my miullions of questions about reloading....:cheers::cool::cool:

You reloaded it but you haven't successfully done it until you fire it.

One day I will be all gitty like you after my first reload :) I will be even gittier if I survive the shooting of it too.

Good on you. Nothing like holding a couple of home made rounds in your hand. I use much the same recipe. May notice a little more flash and carbon than factory but all good.

If something sounds or feels wrong then check that barrel is unobstructed before pulling trigger a second time.

so many loads to choose from i just kinna picked a powder at the store that i could use with a variety of bullets...then i jsut used the starting load so i hope it works out;)....

I saved my first round that I made..LOL. Discovered the load that I want to use yesterday and rolled 450 rounds of .45acp last night. Now I am suffering withdrawl as I am out of bullets.

You'll learn soon enough that you NEED at least 2000 pistol bullets on hand at all times. And 2-3 lbs of each powder, and 3-4000 primers, and a bunch of extra cases. Of course this is for each caliber that you reload for.

I heard someone say sometime that reloading saves money, yeah right. I shoot a ton more, but I haven't saved my first dollar yet.

I had a similar feeling when I reloaded my first cartridge, but was much more reserved until I shot it.

After shooting it, I was happy I reloaded them properly, but not so happy with the groups (rifle), since then, I have made a lot of progress

Hope the same for you, cheers

Tell me about it. I am already heading out tomorrow for more bullets. I am not shooting much more but the stockpile is sure growing:D

made a major mistake when i only bought 100 primers and bullets and 1 lb of powder me and my friend just reloaded 100 rnds but we resized around 400 just to be ready:D funny thing is nearest gun shop that carries boolits is 1.5 hours away:mad:

You loaded them all up at the same weight? I tried 10 different loads before I decided what to go with.

Good for you Ben

I hope to join you in a couple of months I'm prepping my gun/reloading room now and when all the equipment arrives I'll be as gitty as you are.

I can't wait to load up some potent 10mm loads. My G20 is just begging for full power loads.

Good luck........

Jesus guys, one lousy pic of this monumental occasion wouldn't have hurt...
