first run BCL102 FTE issues

Unfortunately NEA/BCL have only changed names, they haven't actually done anything about correcting the issues that give them their bad reputation.
Funny how many people pre 102 would never consider buying an NEA AR but all of a sudden now that they have something that's non restricted everyone has forgotten why so many people hated NEA.

Funny/scary thing is that this company has an aerospace division, can you imagine trusting parts made by them being in something you're riding in that leaves the surface of the earth?

Maybe their next name can be CEIGE for close enough is good enough
Or how about MIS for mostly in spec

NEA also has military contracts (I read it somewhere, could be wrong) but with their products having so many issues, I can't believe said military has not invaded their offices yet.

Wear marks from the XCR mag
Indentations from the projectile tips below the feed ramps (Due to the non-compatibility of the XCR-M mags)

how is that bcl's fault ?? sfrc posted that xcr mags may not work unless modified...... shave the back spine and then i usually lower the front by 1mm so the crimp/neck area doesn't catch while being stripped out of the mag, round out the edge as well to remove sharp edges.

Not saying it is their fault, but a FAQ sheet or a web page or a "Do's and Don't" for the OEM is usually a common practice in industry. Does Chevy or Ford let their retailers post all the literature about their vehicles through a twisted over posted website asking the same ####ing questions over and over again. That post from SFRC was full of people too lazy to read and asking the same thing, people wanting FDE over black.... or why they can't have it .223...

I personally think it completely irresponsible for BCL/NEA to put out this product without having any literature on it.

BTW, I did not have to modify the mag in the back as it worked perfectly. As for the front, it still would have hit the lower receiver below the feed ramps. Also those mags work perfectly in my AR-10 which this is supposed to be a copy of....hmmmm makes you think that something is amiss.

Rant done.

This was the head scratcher for me.

And the funny thing is, when some pointed this out before the rifle hit the streets, they tended to be pounced upon in typical CGN fashion.

yet here we are ........

Do we know how many rifles were produced in the first batch?

The first pre-sale: 72. Which included the ones going to dealers.

More than 260 on the second presale which sold out in a few days.. That amount was seen at the beginning of the pre-sale up on the website. How many were already allocated for dealers before the public pre-sale, or how many were bought before that number was seen is unknown.
