I just mounted a scope on my first rifle. The forward ring is not fully closing on both sides. When I tighten one end down the other rises. I can get the screws to thread but not fully close (the scope seems secure) is this an issue or am I ok to shoot accurately?

I had this issue awhile ago......apparently the more scopes you swap the more you notice it.
Just try to have roughly the same space on each side between the rings where they tighten down.

awesome thanks, I do have another question. Right now I have bushnell sportsman (its a POS I know, just being mounted for the weekend so I can shoot it)
I purchased an bushnell 4200 from the EE last week that I'll mount on a picatinny rail when they both get to my door. Will I be ok with the same rings or should I change em out since they don't fit well?
