This will be my first season for duck and goose and I'd like to try for both. I would prefer to stay close to home (Brantford). I have no experience or even know where to go. I am looking for a group who would like to teach a newbie. I am honest and trustworthy, and am a member of OFAH and the Brant Rod and Gun Club. Really just looking for a chance to break into the sport. I have all of my licences and my own firearms as well BTW, should have mentioned that before. I don't expect a free ride either. Would be willing to pay any entrance fees, coffee or lunches, or anything else that's reasonable. Like I said, just looking for a chance to learn.

Thanks,

Kevin

one way to get guys to join you and teach you is to get out and talk to some farmers who have ponds and fields that hold birds ,,if you get permission from a land owner to hunt land that has birds you should have no problem getting some guys to come down with all the gear like decoys blinds and mayby even a good working dog....so if you can get out for a drive and look for fields that are being harvested and watch for birds going in to these fields to feed at first light and in the evening ,,,if you can get this part down you can even go in by your self and sit in a fence row and wait for the birds to fly over and shot them as thy pass over this is the easiest way to get some shooting at birds with almost no gear ,,,Good luck ,,,Dutch

Thank you for the advice. How do you know if the area is rural enough to hunt on? Does it just need to be outside city limits?
