Just got my rifle setup. First shoot with Remington 700 Police .308 - 5 rounds 100M at Sharon.

I am exited to shoot 300M.

Great start indeed. If the groups at 300m show alot more vertical dispersion, you will have to do some loading tuning.

I love my jewel trigger and my 36 power weaver on my police, mind you its a 6.8spc and now that I have a load that shoots in the .4 and .5's all day its not collecting much dust but the others are

Out of the box, that IS spectacular and you are an excellent shot. No doubt the shooter had something to do with it.

Thanks for good replies. I use 168 GR sierra match and 42.1 GR of 4895. Total length is 2.810.

Only one problem I have one problem with the rifle: sometimes bullet stack up when I load one bullet through the magazine. Not sure, the problem with the spring in the magazine or something else. Otherwise everything is fine. It does not happens all the time, only when I try to close bolt slowly! Did anyone experience the same problem?

For target you should single load your rounds anyways.

You can get followers that block the magazine and only allow one round at a time.

He has a detachable mag.


I was shooting right after you with my older model Rem. 700PSS (24" bbl)
5 shot groups, lower right was getting zero'd

4 rapid out of magazine.
