First Shotgun

There are some Citori's under $2000 in the EE occasionally. I think there was a 26" one recently that would be a great skeet gun.

Gramps' gun is now mine, and although it's nothing special, it's sentimental and I'd rather just get something new to call my own than go cutting the barrel or anything.
It's a Canadian Sportsman Model 269 Series e

Older Stevens, maybe, whichever...

Good on you ! For not cutting it down or molest it in any other way !

Been looking at models for weeks.
Can't decide.
Been playing skeet weekly with my Grandfathers old pump.
It has a fixed full choke so not ideal..
Csnt decide if I want an all rounder for the occasional duck hunt or a skeet specific gun..any thoughts?
It would be my first.

I was in your exact position ten years ago. I do hunt water fowl regularly so i really needed something that held three rounds. Also need quick follow up shots for shooting sporting clays. I settled on an Beretta A400 unico. Great do all gun. I would find the semi that fits you best and go with that. I should also add that since than I have bought an over/under that fits me a little better for sporting clays because I was shooting way to much for my semi to last.

My budget is around $2000. So it opens up more quality options.
Either s/a or o/u.

With that budget for an all around gun i would be looking for a quality semi, such as beretta or browning. I have 1 of each and while i like the beretta, the Browning Maxus II is flawless.
