Thanks for clearing that up. I missed it, because as I've said I don't own any of them, I have just shot the hell out of most of them.
Are there any maintenance issues parallel to the O rings of the remingtons in teh Brownings, Berettas and Winnies? Any parts that need periodic replacement or a prone to failure?
Nothing that compares to the o-ring that needs regular checking or replacing in the other brands. What does need checking on the Beretta is the forend cap. If not kept cleaned and lubed it can seize. I loosen mine half a turn when it's in the safe and tighten it back up when it's time to shoot.
Browning/Winchester guns have a better designed cap however I haven't found either as good as the Beretta for handling light loads.
I've never been impressed with the Remington 1100 or 11/87 for reliability. I have a Remington 1100 in 28 gauge that is used for introducing women or young people to shooting. I have a kit of assorted spare parts that goes with it to keep it running and have had to dip into it more than once.
I love me my Speed Load Feature! Definitely a worth while feature to consider when purchasing. I am so used to it I almost forgot that no one else has it.

X2 shoot clays for gaining that instinctive point reflex that is essential to good shotgun shooting. All your shots will be at close range (compared to rifle shooting) so you need to develop that reflex of sweeping into where you're looking without taking you eyes off of it.

Ok, I have owned the Beretta AL391, Winchester SX3 and the Browning Gold
In order of preference and overall quality, I would rate them
1. Beretta 391 .......by far
2. Browning Gold Fusion
3. Winchester SX3
The Winchester SX3 is similar to the Browning Gold, but not exactly the same. The Gold has better fit and finish than the SX3 as far as I am concerned. They are all good pointing, easy shooting firearms but every time I pick up the Beretta 391 I remember why it's my favorite. Feels better, fits better, shoots softer. Just feels more solid, and that it is more of a quality firearm. Just my opinion. I have no doubt my Beretta will outlast me and my kids.
You will be happy with any of them though.
I have a Beretta 686 o/u as well. Now THAT's a different class altogether....

i dislike the 11-87 for the O-ring and the bolt release - cumbersome.
ive owned and loved mossberg 930, beretta extrema II and Fabarm H38 Lion ..
of the 3 i would take another Fabarm , it was light, top quality, functioned flawlessly and was easy to operate. a top waterfowl shotgun
