first shotgun

Any suggestions for a cheap reliable pump action as a first shotgun?.I want to make sure I want to pursue hunting geese before I spend to much money.

You won't go wrong with the 870 you first mentioned. The only thing I would suggest is go with the synthetic stocks, as a waterfowl gun your sure to beat it up.

I happen to be selling my 12g 870. synthetic stock, a few choke tubes, a new $50 sling, a shell sleeve for the butt stock. I have tube extension as well that goes with it for the non hunting screwin around days. I'll even throw in whatever I have left for 3 inch goose loads. I will get pictures in a day or two. Let me know if your interested, send me a PM. Gun is in good shape, always cleaned, no damage to it. (synthetics are pretty damn tough). I am guessing we are close by lookin at your name okotoks.
