So I managed to steal away an hour or so at the gun range today to fire off the few rounds I had and test out my new XCR-M for the first time. I must say, I really did enjoy shooting it and am quite impressed with the accuracy so far even though this was a very short test run.
I was off the bench with a front support only and after hitting paper at 50yards and adjusting zero, I moved out to 100 for a group.
Learned a few things about this rifle today regarding optics. I thought I would mount my 4-16 X 50 for better group shooting, but my rings for it were for a bolt gun with a raised rail so I learned that my rings aren't high enough for this flat top rail on the XCR.

I have this cheap NCstar 4X that I bought for sh&*ts and giggles when I had a SR22...so on it went. Slight trouble with height on this as well. Just couldn't get my cheek low enough to get a full sight picture. The picture below shows the blacked out top part of my view when behind it. I know the fast stock can adjust more by removing the set screws, but I just dealt with it the way it was today and tried to be consistent.
So here is the group it made at 100 yrds. Squares are 1" so this 5 round group was right around the 1.25" mark. Knowing that this was my first time ever even firing it and dealing with not so perfect optic set up...I am totally pleased with it. Not that its going to be a pure target rifle or keep up with the bolt guns..just not what I bought it for. Its just fantastic knowing that its capable of this kind grouping for all the different uses I have planned for it.
For those that wanted to know..These rounds were..
