First shots with my XCR-M... Smooth operator...

So another 60 rounds down the pipe bringing round count up to 120. Tried gas setting three with my pmags, not gonna happen at this point. Had to move up to five to allow for zero feed or ejection problems. I will try and drop it down again the next trip out.

I I'd not end up shooting for accuracy today. Best groups I manage were around 2 inches.

As for my factory mags, they are going up for sale as paper weights. Don't work worth a crap for me.

I shot about 150 at 5, then maybe 50 at 3, im down to setting 2 right now with no problems. This is with my XCR in 5.56 which im sure might be different then yours, and shooting AE.

I am going to try and turn it down next time and shoot some hand loaded stuff. Today I blasted AE cheap stuff and Federal Gold Match. My gun liked the cheap AE stuff and seemed way more accurate with it than the Seirra Match King Federal Gold Stuff. Which blew my mind but ill feed the girl whatever she needs to shoot the best.

The federal stuffs groups were almost embarrassing. About 3"-4" groups. Almost shameful mentioning it.

Forgot to mention. My new fancy muzzle brake works awesome. The flash shooting out of every hole on it directing gases backwards is amazing to see. It was raining out and every shot rattled my EZ-up shelter so much the rain would pour of the edges of it like a tropical hurricane. Was way cool to see.

Either way its this or my RFB for hunting this year.

Anymore news from XCR-M shooters out there?

Picked up my KEL TEC RFB yesterday but will not be able to do a range report / comparison for a week and half to two weeks. The RFB in my opinion is equal when it comes to quality as the XCR-M. While the XCR-M has machining marks on it, I particular on the barrel the RFB has weld marks I am not particularly fond of.

Looks tiny compared to my XCR-M

It's even way smaller than my AR-15 with the stock collapsed.

I've had mine out for about 60 rounds now. So far it looks like Hornady 168 A-Max's and ~42.5 grains of Varget is going to yield something around 1.25-1.5 MOA.

After 17 rounds on the full gas setting, I ran all my load development on setting 3, and had no issues. All of this has been with the factory ASC magazine as well.

Of note as well, I'm using my Caldwell brass catcher, and it's working really well for keeping the brass nice and close. I also found that on setting 3, the brass doesn't get damaged on the shoulder when being ejected...

Can you do anything to stop the brass from being bent on the shoulder? Some of mine come out dented I wasnt sure if that was normal or not though. Also where did you get the brass catcher?
