First side, first coat...

I used krylon fusion camo. From my experimentation, it's pretty wear resistant if you follow the directions and paint properly. Also, the cure time of 7 days is critical.

That said, it's not cerakote. It will chip and scratch, but I don't mind a little wear on the paint. (Wear on anodizing would suck)

I don't want it to be permanent anyway. I like the fact that I can completely remove all the paint without much trouble. You can't do that with duracoat, cerakote.
 
Neat thing i figured for painting guns and not wanting to do one side at a time. take a spent casing pop the primer, put string down barrel then casing and knot on back suspends them nicely.
