And here we go, wife was a racquet ball champ back in the day and we agreed that maybe a little friendly competition is in order. With her hand eye coordination and my past wing shooting experience we should be on equal footing for a round of sporting clays or two :p

Last sporter I had was when I was in my 30's (very long ago) a Mossy 500 if me thinks correctly..... Will kit her out with a micro if she can manage to even kind of swing this 2x8 chunk of lumber ;)

We will go play with a hand chucker at the ravine first before embarrassing ourselves with the muckity mucks at the Rod & Gun Club........

Lovely gun, I'm sure you'll have a great time with it. And don't worry about the 'muckity-mucks' at the gun club. They're regular folks like the rest of us, they've just been shooting a lot. They will be more than happy to help out new shooters.

Dirk, that's great. My wife and I used to shoot skeet together - loser does dishes. Sometimes she would come up to me before my turn to whisper something filthy which wasn't quite fair. Washed a lot of dishes.

Looks like fun!

Not to be a mucky muck, but make sure you carry the gun the other way around =)

Clubs shouldn't care about skill. Everybody is learning, no matter how good. Good clubs shouldn't have those issues.

Thanks All,
Kinda cool embarking on a new aspect of our sport, filling in another niche as I have been a rifleman first and foremost for my entire life.

That's a beautiful shotgun, your tree looks good too. Have a great christmas.

Thank You!! And have a Merry Christmas also....

10-4 to that, still makes me want to throw up in my mouth a little at the thought of going up on the line with the herd watching from behind. After the initial I'm sure it will be fun!!

That is exactly the tactics my wife would employ!!! ;) No known defence for it either.....

Thanks, sage advice and I hear you on the carry..... Been a range member since the mid 80's and have never gone up the hill to the trap/skeet stations?!?!?!

A Merry Christmas to All!!

The Chase range I was a member of had some pleasant shoots for newbies.
Lots of help and encouragement.

Not sure I get the "carry the kritter the other way"...........though.................
