First Successful Goose Hunt

I was able to take my 15 year old protege on his first goose hunt yesterday, and he did really well. We have been shooting trap, skeet and sporting for the last year and a half, so he was ready for the real thing.

Gun was an 870 choked light mod with Challeneger 3" BBB's. He managed three birds and we couldn't get the grin off his face for the rest of the day! I don't think he slept a wink the night before opening morning of the Ontario waterfowl season either!

Nice to see some young people with a passion for hunting and shooting.

Congrats!! I hope he sticks with it. Keep on bringing the youger generations into the sport! We had our young hunter out last night as well. He shot his first bear ever. He used the bow and had that very same smile on his face!

Man oh man, it's good to see the young kids taking up the sport! Most kids now are plugged into video games & don't leave the confines of thier bedroom!!!

Way to go for getting him involved!

My son also shoots an 870 express, but with the factory Remchoke in mod., and 2/34" Winchester #2's

I had a youngster out for sharptail this afternoon, what a hoot. He fired 21 shells but finally filled his limit of 4 birds. I think he is still smiling.
