First time moose hunting questions

If you keep an eye, canadian tire sells jobmate mitre saws for 8.99-14.99. If you steal the saw and leave the frame it makes a great bone\meat saw. I have done over 25 animals with mine and still works great.
 
I used to work for an outfitter in 7-23, the biggest I've ever seen come out of there was 56 inches, and that one was huge. Most of the bulls coming out of there seem to be in the mid 40's.
Take your packboard and head away from the road... as far as you want to pack a moose. I'd head uphill. I've seen some really nice bulls pretty close to timberline along the North Anzak early in the season. They seem to get lower as the season progresses.

We where up there last week looking around so three or four bears and two moose cows. will be going up again next week to look around and then up for two weeks the end of Sept.
Hope to get a elk up that way as well.

I will be up that way with a guy that lived up there for may years and also guided and had a trap line.
