I finally got sick of being the tag along guy when heading out shooting. So i got off my butt and and got my RPAL. For my first firearm I went cheap. I got a Mossberg Silver Reserve 12 gauge. I know a lot of people dont like them but I got it at a steal of a deal so I went for it. I went out today for the first time on my own. I'm am grinning from ear to ear almost as big as when I left the gun store with it under my arm. Anyways before I get into a life long story what is the best way to care in the ways of cleaning it?

Thanks

Here's an interesting method that works well for me, and its fast. Congrats on the new toy!

Dirty it first before start rubbing it and FEEL THE RUSH[/QUOTE

I fired about 100 rounds through it! I figured thats a good start. I'm pretty sure I felt that rush you speak of. I might even be addicted! :D

Hmm thats an interesting bore wipe.........I cant wait to see the cashier face when I go on about how I use tampons to clean my shotgun.

Also is it a good idea to leave oil in the barrel after wiping it out?
