So I just got my M&P9 on Friday. It's my first handgun and I haven't had a whole lot of pistol experience in the past as I don't know a lot of shooters. The only chance I had to get to the range was a few minutes on Sunday afternoon so I raced up to the range and had time to shoot all of two mags before it was too dark. I was so pressed for time I didn't even have time to wait to collect my target but damn was it fun while it lasted :D.

So now I know what I'll be doing next weekend :). I have a feeling this is going to get expensive.:runaway:

Welcome to a fun and interesting sport.

It would probably be a good idea to seek out an experienced shooter or shooting group in your area. The majority of these folks will be very encouraging and will have lots of pointers to help keep you safe, save you $ and introduce you to some fun shooting sports.

Stay safe, BREATHE, take your time, use logic and common sense to analyze what you are doing, how you are doing it (and what needs to be improved)...

...and above all, always, always THINK!

I have taught myself and now several others how to shoot really safely and well by doing the above, along with seeking solid outside counsel and info when available.

Have fun!!
