shot my first 2 rounds of 5 stand today and man am i hooked!!! i feel bad for everything else in my safe because they may have just become queens. i just wanted to say thank you to everyone who uses this sub forum its been a huge help for getting into the sport, just being able to read as much as i can, quick search and find the answers i seek. thank you all

stoeger longfowler o/u. great gun in my eyes tho i know stoeger doesn't have the best rep on here.

Hey can you give a review of it? Thinking about a dedicated duck gun as right now I am using my upland guns for waterfowl.

I have a 410 stoeger sxs I use for early season hare so I have some unfashionable respect for stoeger field guns.

as soon as I've shot a few more rounds with it i will absolutely give a review. as of right now its a great o/u points really well comes out of the box with 4 chokes 2 mod 2 improved cylinder. one set is flush with the barrel the other is extended.

I just shot my first 2 rounds of trap the other and loved it.
Have avoided it until my shooting buddies suggested I give it a try.
Good bunch of guys, very helpful and so much fun.
Hit 9 first round with a used 870 I picked up the day before.
Have shot smallbore target my whole life and can't believe I have missed out on this for so long.
Just saying again... This is really.
My 2 cents :)

The clay target games(Trap, Skeet, Sporting Clays) get additive quick, 9/25 isn't a bad start, give it about another 4 or 5 rounds and you'll be working your way into the mid-teens.

I shot rifle and pistol, mostly target work, for nearly 50 years and a few years ago I tried clay shooting for the first time. To say I was hooked would be an understatement. I now own some very nice shotguns, O/U and pumps and autos and no rifles. There is a feeling of satisfaction when you see a clay 'powder' from a good shot that far exceeds that of shooting a good group with a rifle or pistol. Wish I had started shooting clays a long time ago.!!!!

I can second that statement. Although shooting a good group is satisfying it is nowhere near as satisfying as when you are having a good day in clays and are inkballing targets with consistency.

I just went out this past saturday for our local clubs open house. Never shot a shotgun before let alone clays! missed my first 3 then hit my next three. I guess it was pretty good seeing as i was using the instructor's sons youth 20 gauge. But wow, so much fun! Can't wait to join! Members are super friendly and helpful!
