First time Ruger 10/22 buyer... PLEASE HELP ME!!

I think all the bashing of the target model is a little silly as most of the info I have read is wrong!! The target does have a higher price tag but it also has a slightly better trigger ( not a VQ or KIDD) but still better than stock and as for the barrel--its .920" in dia. and has a bentz chamber and a target crown already, that's why its a TARGET version. Plus it comes in a nice laminate stock and is way more accurate than any stock 10/22, even after 6000+ rounds. Just my 0.02c..... oppionions are like a**holes, everyone has one!!

I have the Target version and often find myself wishing I woulda just bought either a receiver/trigger group or junker rifle and stripped and built it myself. Simply because from the get go I'm already in $450 and still want to do upgrades and mod anyways that could easily but me closer to $1000 than if I'd started from scratch. My 2c. Either that or get a magnum research version and win matches :)
