I bought a 9mm P226R last week and shot it for the first time today out at POCO. I have a .45 1911 Kimber and a S&W 686 revolver but this is my first DA/SA pistol. 200 rounds of CCI Blazer with no problems. It will take a while to get used to but I did shoot pretty well with it. Field strip and cleaning afterward was quite easy. I don't love this pistol yet like my Kimber but I see the potential for another great relationship.

Here's the girls just BEFORE cleaning tonight.

P226 is a nice pistol but it will always be second choice to your Kimber.

I have been shooting for 16 years, owned everything except a Sig up until 2 years ago, then bought my first P226 9mm, now in addition to that one I have a P225 9mm, a P228 9mm, a P220 .45acp, a P230 .380acp and just ordered one of the new P226 Elite 9mm. The P228 is my favorite hands down.
