I'm buying a non-restricted gun from the EE.
This is my first time doing a transfer.

As the buyer, what information do I need when I call the CFC
to complete the transfer?

1`st timer

The seller will give you a referance # you call the cfc follow the instructions and give them the ref# and any other info they want like PAL# ,address thats all there is to it generaly goes pretty smooth and quick.
Cheers tornado

Once you give the CFC that info, is the gun then registered to the new owner?

Will the CFC call the seller back to let them know the gun can be shipped?

Generally I ask the buyer of the firearm to email me back once they have phoned into the CFC and completed thier portion of the transfer.

Once I know this I generally call back then next day to confirm the transfer was approved. The time it takes the CFO office to approve the transfer depends on the province you live in and type of firearm you are transferring (restricted or non-restricted)

Once I have the verbal on the phone that the transfer was approved, you are authorized to ship.

In my experience, non-resctricted are usually approved ASAP.

Hope this helps
