Shot trap today for the first time. Had 50 km/h wind gusts, combined with my lack of skill, I was lucky to hit my first shot ever and about 4/25 of the rest. Had an amazing time and I'm hooked!

Thanks to Silverdale Gun Club for a great facility and friendly staff and members, you all made my day! I'll be back again and bringing friends.

Good to hear you had fun!

With a little practise, you will hit more & more. Shotgunning IS FUN!!!

Cheers
Jay

Went for my second time ever yesterday up in cooks town (Toronto International Trap and Skeet) helluva windy day! I suggest now that your hooked, read, read, read! I went with a total different mindset yesterday than last week. I started "just shooting" instead of trying to place every shot. I went from last week shooting, 5/25, 7/25 to this week shooting 13/25 and believe it or not 20/25. I don't by any means think I will shoot 20/25 every time now, but it started to feel a heck of a lot more natural when I shoot each time as I took more shots. I'm no pro, but the best advice I can give is just keep shooting, and don't try to close one eye and shoot like a rifle. Just look at the clay and shoot! Also, the only technical advice I can give (works for me) is shoot earlier rather than later. Once you read the path of the clay, SHOOT. Don't hesitate.

Anywho, I'm two times to the range and hooked myself! Im sure you will learn what works for you, and if you need help, I've found that everyone is willing to give you an idea of what to try.
