Me too bud...after sighting my Tikka Tactical in some guys invited me to try it out...beautiful sunny day in Vancouver...fresh snow on the ground...and I actually hit a few with my Mossberg 590a...hahaha . I have alot of respect for those who can consitantly blast those clays...That was the most fun I have had in a very long time!!

Stupid Game ... now at it for my 40th season. You'd think I'd learn.
All kidding aside, "clays" of any sort is a great pastime, hobby, sport, activity... whatever you choose to call it. Enjoy fully, every chance you get.

I wish.... :(

I'm not the guy who's family owns a castle in Scotland!

Plus you never invite us to come shoot pheasants there

I did in November '05 but i did not hear back from you (with regret), so, i went back by myself for a week.

The funny thing was that i remember sitting in front of the great fireplace, enjoying the 'F1 Grand Prix' with a pint in hand and looking out the window at several pheasants roaming around in the fields, and i could not be bothered to leave my chair to go out and shoot them.
AH WELL, there is always next year !!!

I'm looking forward to trying Skeet and Trap this summer. I bought a 28" barrel with remchokes just for that purpose. This week I went out with a buddy who has a launcher and tried clays for the first time. We had several guns and I tried a Winchester pump with a 30"full, a single shot Rossi with a 28" modified choke,Rem Wingmaster with 28" Modified and an 870 with a 16 " improved cylinder and a speedfeed(witness protection style) pistolgrip.
I've read posts before where people said hitting clays with short barrels was more challenging but at the distances we were shooting it seemed pretty easy and was lots of fun. It's cool when the first shot splits the clay in two and then you chase the fragments with your next shots. Looking forward to bustin more clays this summer with the club launcher.

hey can-down, if you're in the lower mainland....... you're welcome to join us at PortCoq.

Thanks for the invite HR. I'm a member at the new Pemberton range and they've got clay nights for rookies every wednesday during the summer.:)
