you definitely do not need to limit the use of certain distress calls to certain times of the year as yotes are opportunistic and will come to nearly any call that sounds like something dying, providing they don't see or smell you and aren't too educated. i've used fawn and yote pup distress sounds on the e-caller throughout the year with yotes showing up. my most productive sounds on the electronic call are "flicker" and "wild piglet"...and jackrabbit for hand calls.
