I went shooting tonight for the first time and damn it was fun :D

A very Big thanks to PoFF here on cgn for the invitation.

We began with a .22LR Ruger so I could have the feeling (1st time..)

Then we went with something a little bigger, a Para Ordonance in .45acp :D
that was a fun gun exept for the slide release that is hard to reach one handed.

Then.... something bigger again ;) a S&W .44 magnum revolver.
That thing is only good to range wake-up (indoor)
It was slipping of my hands at each bang!

after a little pause, I rented a Beretta 96 elite 2 I thinks (9mm)
It was fitting just right in my hands but I was less accurate with it.

Here my best 10 shots which was done with the .45 ParaOrd. :D

I thinks it's not so bad for a first time at 30feets :)

The hardest will be to choose which pistol I buy first... :rolleyes:

That is damn good shot for the first time. IMO no need to hurry buy anything because that is always good to try more before you buy. I learn this from my P22 experience.

Having retired from a long( and sordid ) career in motorcycle roadracing, I find firearms to be cheap in comparison...
(And this includes a long series of units such as Accuracy International,
H&K UMP's, Black Specials, Sig 210's and X-5's,Nightforce scopes,etc,etc,):D

I take my shooting quite seriously, not a game, I have loads of fun though...whether hunting, plinking, competeing or training, using firearms is never a 'game' which breeds complacency.....symantics? maybe, frame of mind? yes sir!!
 
I used to race stock cars...in comparison, the shooting sports are downright economical!:rolleyes: :D Welcome to the sport! And if you want to try and keep the costs down, dont fall in love with every gun you hold (my problem:redface: ).
 
I race (still on occasion) vintage cars. Firearms is a pittance compared with Replacement parts and generally maintenance for a race car. I suspect that guns are generally more reliable.
Based on the current price of gas - ammo are cheaper!
