First timer question

They won't call you, you being on Ontario it's going to take some time before it's approved I always ask for e mail confirmation when a transfer has been approved

No one's calling anyone, lol.

You'll need to sit tight and wait for the approval which is usually sent snail mail. As mentioned by Craig0ry you can ask for an email confirmation but I find that it's hit and miss.

So once it's done I'll get a letter and then the seller can ship? I'm assuming the seller will also receive confirmation that it's approved?

Correct, if you request email notification it can speed things up a week or so. If not then you wait and the seller can ship when either one of you get the notice.

Congrats on the new gun btw!

I would wait 10 business days as that is the earliest it will take, and call them. if it is or isn't approved, at that time, ask for email verification. You will then get the transfer and all is good!

Yes, or call them anytime. Call tuesday-wed, before 10:30 and you will get a live person right away. Call Friday and you could be on hold for 20 minutes.

Glad I am that I live in Alberta. Much faster.

Only took 8 posts this time. I was waiting for the 1st guy to chime in with the classic " glad I'm in Alberta, much faster" post.

OP, sit tight and load up on some ammo while you are waiting. enjoy them once they arrive !!
