I just got back from the first trip to the range with my first pistol. I recently purchased an S&W M&P 9.

It worked flawlessly. 100 rounds and no problems at all. I really love the trigger on this thing. I thought I might not like the pivot at the beginning of the pull but I didn't even notice it. The reset to me is really good, it is sharp and you can feel it quite well.

I had tried a glock 17 and an XD 9 before I purchased the M&P but I did not like the triggers on either. They both have the trigger safety which is kind of an insert and really bugged my finger.

I am still smiling! :D

Here is a crappy cell phone pic of my target. I used 1 target for all 100 rounds. I shot 50 rounds at 7 yards and 50 rounds at 14 yards. I know it's not the greatest shooting but I am happy with my progress since this was only my 7th time firing a handgun.

You claim to have shot 100 rounds but I only count 98 holes in the target.
What happened to those missing 2 ??

Just kidding. Enjoy the gun. Been reading some very good things about them.

I counted 101. :pirate:

I think he had help!

Good job though. I know a few people who own the M&P (who somehow let me shoot it as well) and I will say that I like it over any Glock I've ever shot. (Trigger and grip angle of glocks irk me for some reason...)

When I tried out a Glock the grip angle wasn't for me either. The grip was also way to big for my hand.
