Thanks for sharing and I hope you enjoy the steaks. What type of 150gr bullet were you using? I also would have expected an exit at that range from a 300 win mag.

I've recovered a 150gr Ballistic Tip from a big Blacktail buck. Muzzle velocity was ~3400 iirc and the deer was far. Behind the shoulder, broadside, and caught under the hide on the far side.

Sorry to disappoint, but both animals were tagged at this time. Might be a trick of the camera, but tags were affixed. If you zoom in on the doe, you can clearly see the tag in the left ear. The buck has the tag wrapped around the left spike and is occluded by his ear.

My mistake. I must need a bigger computer screen LOL. Enjoy that venison.
