Fish out of water

Hi folks, I live in Canmore, AB and do a bit of deer hunting, that's all. I see shooting as a means to an end, and so feel a bit like a fish out of water in a forum like this, but I do respect those of you who take shooting seriously. My friend Laurie suggested I check out this forum and I look forward to learning here. Thanks!
