fitco riflescopes scam or junk?

anyone ever heard of them i was looking for a cheap riflescope and stumbled across these.

for 46 bucks i can get an 8-32x50 with the current promotion seems a little too good

Fitco scopes?

Let's just say you really get what you pay for on these. I have never owned one but know a few people who have. When the scopes failed they moved on to something better.

If you want an good econo scope look at the Bushnell Trophy series or something from Barska.

Optics are truely a "you get what you pay for" affair. Especially if you're looking at variables of any power. Fixed power cheap scopes may not be half bad, but a variable scope is another story. Another decent line is the newer Simmons Master series (not the older Simmons cheapies!)

I have a friend who bought 9-27x50mm Bushnell binos at Wallmart for $49,95 or so and couldn't tell whether the deer had any rack at 150yds or so! With my 6x30mm Fujinon I can recognise spike at 300yds! Don't buy junk just b/c it is cheap, the least you can do is to buy used scope from good brand name like Weaver, Redfield, Burris etc. Buy once, cry once.
