Fitting Chinese surplus stock to Norinco SKS?

I just got the fiberglass stock I ordered from SKSMan, and discovered that it doesn't quite fit my Norc SKS; the fore-end is a little too big for the endcap/stock end cover/[?] fitting on the barrel to properly fit over it when inserting the barrel/receiver assembly into the stock.

Before I bust out the Dremel and starting to remove material until it fits, I figured I'd consult the collective wisdom of the CGN brain trust.

Has anybody encountered this problem before, and how did you resolve it?

you talking about the red jungle stock?

if so then thats normal , they need custom fitting , it took me an hours of filing .

Bingo. I sort of expected that this would be the case. So did you use hand files or a dremel?

I had to file down the metal cross bar at the front of the stock around 1/16" to get the action to fit.

i didnt have to do that , i had the rifle partly in the stock and then slam them (butt end) a few time on the floor till stock went in.

Just by way of update, after I got the end of the stock trimmed to fit I discovered that I had the same problem as OC-3 did. Broke out the dremel, and after a dozen or so iterations, got it to fit.
