hello gents...
I have a HS Pres. long (Magnum) action stock...
can I fit it to the rem, short action barreled action? which way to go? front hole or back hole? install the pillar? whith side(front or back)?
is it possible to do, or just keep it and find a right stock???

thanks a lot
best regards
Kot

Fill the whole action area with bisonite and start carving. Just like the stock was not inletted. It may not be a thing of beauty when finished but it can be done.

There are enough of those stocks on the EE forum at any given time that you could just as well sell the long action stock and get a perfectly good short action to replace it.

True, true, but only if you call yourself "bubba"......:p

I have seen TR stocks that have been re-worked for different actions. I think even some of the Canadian Cadet TR rifles started life with Sportco actions were converted over to Quad-lock actions, a few years back.
A little bisonite, a little fitting (OK alot of fitting), a little flat black paint.:dancingbanana:
