Fitting muzzle devices on a Vz58

How do you go about fitting a muzzle brake on the Vz58 properly? How do you make it snug?

Mine fits quite loose and I don't want to cause any damage to the threads. Would shims work, or must the base of the brake be milled down?

On mine, I screwed in the muzzle break as far as it would go, then, back off again until it clicked. Haven't had any problems after several hundred rounds.

If it really bothers you, could use loctite and screw it on as far as it goes.

you might worry just a little bit too much think , never had any trouble removing my flash hider for cleaning and htem putting it back again

It wobbles allot. It has vertical and horizontal movement.

Which brake?

I've tried 5 or 6 brakes all fit the same, there is some movement, nothing much though.

Shims might work.

File the rear face of the brake to index it. Keep it square and go slow.

Leave it. It's fine. Mine do that too and work flawless

Make a notch an a spark plug washer for brake plunger. Spark plug washer will act as your crush washer

I used a snap ring that was the right size and sanded it down to the right thickness so it indexed properly, seems to work.

Yep mine is the same military 8 port and probably 1000 rounds with no issue. I used to think the same about the play. Never had an issue getting it off so I am ok with it a little loose that is likely why it is indexed.

non issue, but use a crush washer.
