Trying to decide, and it seems that every day I switch back and forth, so I'll let the poll help me decide.

We can have

The AimPoint Setup - Option 1)
Which will look like this minus the Vltor stock and light.
Larue LT150 mount with Larue Fixed BUIS and a 7.0 Rail.

-or-

The EoTech Setup - Option 2)
Which will look like this minus the 93B and light.

Troy folding BUIS with a EoTech 552 or 512 on a Larue LT110 riser for a lower 1/3 coWitness.

Anyways, I will be shooting mainly under 200 yards mostly 50 and 100. I like the simple dot on the AimPoint which will be better at longer ranges, but the 65MOA dot on the EoTech is good for up close, but does look some what fuzzy to me.

Anyways, cast your vote!

The EOtech reticle will not be fuzzy once you focus on the target and not the reticle. The reticle often looks fuzzy when the brightness is set too high. I run my EOtech with a fixed rear sight.

I would be using the EoTech on a LaRue LT110 mount so it would raise it up that extra .275 or however high it does to give me the 1/3 cowitness. Any comments or pictures on how that works?

I don't know about an Eotech, but a Larue fixed BUIS rocks when combined with a Larue LT150 and an Aimpoint M3 :D

I hate fixed read BIS

I've used them and dont care for them.

Additional I prefer the EO to the Aimpoint

I also like the Lt110 Eo mount

I prefer an Eotech to the Aimpoint myself and who wants a fixed sight in the way when you don't need it.

Except when your Eotech goes down for the count :D

Hopefully it's in the middle of a drill, not a firefight (lets hope not) - Ya, at CQB ranges one can use an Aimpoint or Eotech as a rather large ghost ring, but much past that and it's not an option - hopefully one has time to erect a rear folder.

The way I look at it the FSB's already in the way and the fixed rear BUIS really doesn't clutter the field of view up any more than that.

The correct answer is one of each... :D

I like the EoTech for under 50M. Haven't tried it farther than that.

The Aimpoint also works well for these ranges. I don't notice the fixed rear sight since putting on the LT-150 mount.

EoTech, because I'am cheep Bastard and you don't need to buy mounts for it.and an A.R.M. 40# for now.

But he stated above that he is going to be getting a riser for his EOtech. So either way he is getting a mount.

I hate you.

IF you have some time, care to take some point of view looking through the BUIS (or over) into the reticles of the AimPoint and EO?

That would be awesome.

BTW PM Inbound to MDBuckle and you XRC.

I hate me too. :p

I'm having an interesting time getting a good pic of the EoTech sight picture. If I put the reticle/target in focus, the EoTech and rear sight are a blur, and vice/versa. Haven't tried the Aimpoint yet.

If anybody who's better at photography than me has some hints, I'd be glad to hear them. Shoot me a PM...
