Not sure that I understand? Is there a problem with Leupold friction adjustments? I guess maybe I am too old to change - I "sight in" the scope so group is where I want it, and then never touch the turret adjustments again - might when I check it to make sure it is still holding, but I have at least one rifle that has worn the same Leupold scope for 15 years, and I do not recall ever having to "re-adjust" it when checking the "sighting in".
I understand from a younger friend that many modern shooters do turn scope turrets - sometimes for each shot - so perhaps "clicks" become more important for them? Otherwise, I can not say that I have ever had a "problem" with friction adjustments...
EDIT: Whoops - I lied - I do not have it - I had it - sold it not too long ago. Ruger No. 1 in 7x57. The scope was either M8-4x or M8-6x - do not remember which it was. Very reliable - took many white-tail and mule deer with it. So far as I know, it is at work in coulees in Southern Sask. these days...
