One of my SKS safetys does not have a solid click/snap like my other SKS does. Kind of flops around a little and got in the way once. Should be easy to fix.

Took a look at it and seems like all I need to do is bend it slightly to give a little more downward pressure.

My question is. what's the least amount of disassembly I can get away with to just get the safety spring out? Do I have to remove 1 or 2 pins or more?

I've taken apart the M14 trigger many times and its not hard. Assuming SKS is not that hard either. Just hoping not to take the entire thing apart.
Thanks.

600 out.

There is no spring on the safety on an SKS. It is a simple pressure fit. You would have to punch out the pin and bend out the tabs just a fraction till you get the right resistance.

Only early russian SKS45s have no spring "the rest do"

am pretty sure you can drop in a new safety spring in the old trigger mechs

I stand corrected. Both my SKSs are older and my diagrams don't show it.
I shall henceforth hold my tongue lest I prove myself a fool
